Managing donations
Reviewing, editing, refunding, and reconciling donations from your dashboard.
Every donation you receive shows up in the Donations tab of your dashboard.
Review donations
Click Donations on your dashboard to see a chronological list. Each row shows: - Donor name and email - Campaign and square(s) claimed - Amount and payment method (Card / PayPal / Cash) - Status (Pending / Completed / Failed) - Timestamp
Edit a donation
Sometimes a donor mistypes their name or email. Click the Edit icon next to the donation to fix it. Changes update the receipt automatically.
Mark a cash donation as paid
For cash donations, the donor selects squares and writes their name; they then pay you in person. Once you've received the cash, click Mark Paid on the donation row. The square moves from "pending" to "completed."
Refund a donation
SquareFundr doesn't process refunds directly because we never hold the money. To refund: 1. Card donations: refund the payment from your Square dashboard (Transactions → the payment → Refund). Then click Delete on the donation in your SquareFundr dashboard so the square frees up. 2. PayPal donations: log in to your PayPal account, find the transaction, and refund it from there. Then Delete the donation here. 3. Cash donations: hand the cash back, then Delete the donation in your dashboard.
Export your donation list
Download a CSV of all donations from the Donations tab. Useful for reconciling with Square or PayPal at year-end or for accounting.
Resending a receipt
If a donor lost their receipt email, click Resend Receipt on the donation row. A fresh email goes out from notify@notifyplus.org.
