How you get paid
Card, PayPal and cash — what each one costs, where the money lands, and how to turn them on.
SquareFundr never holds your money and takes no platform fee. Donations go from the donor straight to an account you control. You choose which methods a campaign accepts when you create it, and you can change them later.
Card payments (Square)
Connect your own Square account and donors get a Card option at checkout. Money lands in your Square balance and pays out on Square's normal schedule.
Square charges 2.9% + 30¢ per online donation, so a $5.00 donation arrives as $4.55. That is Square's fee, not ours. Donors can choose to cover it at checkout, in which case they pay $5.46 and you receive the full $5.00.
Connect it once from Dashboard → Profile → Card payments. It applies to every campaign you own, so there is nothing to set up per campaign. If you run a team, the organization can connect its own Square account in the org settings; otherwise your players use yours.
PayPal
Add a PayPal email and donors get a PayPal option. The money goes directly to that PayPal account. A personal account is fine — you don't need a business one.
PayPal is set per campaign, and new campaigns use the default address saved on your profile so you only type it once.
Cash, Venmo, Zelle and CashApp
Donors claim their squares and pay you off-platform. Add your handles and they appear under the Cash option, along with copy and open buttons. You confirm the payment yourself.
Choosing them
Every campaign asks how it should get paid while you're creating it. Turn on any combination — a campaign can take cards only, PayPal only, cash only, or all three. Nothing is required, but a campaign with none of them can only be paid in cash.
